Heartwood Manufacturing is a custom woodworking facility located in Batesville, Indiana. We employ 50 craftsmen and are committed to providing our customers with fine, American-made products at competitive prices. We do this by combining modern manufacturing equipment and methodologies with old-world craftsmanship.
We are a custom, job shop, which means that every project is produced to contract, and usually unique in some way. This is the work that we pursue, because we recognize that if you need many of the same thing, you are going to import. What you can expect from Heartwood are quality, consistent products, whether you order 1 piece or 1,000 pieces. And when you decide to reorder, you will know what to expect.
Heartwood produces items at every level of sophistication. Much of our end-users are in the healthcare industry. Our products typically ship branded in our customers’ names. Thanks to these partnerships, we have products throughout the world. In addition to healthcare, we produce store fixtures for high-end retailers, library interiors and hospitality furniture. We’re open to anything, but where our abilities truly shine are on the higher-end of the quality spectrum. We have excellent relationships with plastic and metal suppliers, so if a product has components that cannot be manufactured in-house, we have suppliers capable of producing components to our dimensional and quality specifications.
The majority of our work involves plastic laminates, melamines (TFL), and solid-surface materials, but we also have spectacular finishing capabilities for real wood and veneer products. If you’d like to match an antique, we can do that, even if it means replicating years of nicks and dings. We do spray and/or wipe stains, paints and clear coats, even hand painted details if that is what the project demands.
If compliance standards are of importance to you, we have experience with UL, CARB, Prop 65, REACH/RoHS, BIFMA, LEED, FSC, and other testing and compliance bodies.
We can do it all, and we will do it on time and at the agreed upon cost. Please give us an opportunity. You’ll be glad you did.
